Presented a few weeks ago in Zermatt, the Wild One is Norqain’s newest sports watch concept. The model’s elaborate 25-part construction is based on a Norteq protective cage, a proprietary carbon fibre composite material. The brand now launches a 262-piece limited edition to celebrate its partnership with the New York City Marathon, where NORQAIN will step into the role of Official Timekeeping Partner for the first time.
For the occasion, the Wild One has been dressed in a black and white colourway. The 42mm case is made of black Norteq and white rubber shock absorbers shielding a titanium container for the movement. This combination of materials protects the movement but makes it a lightweight watch particularly suited for running. The black dial features a light grey outline of the racecourse through a black and grey map of New York City.
The sapphire caseback has been personalised with the logo of the New York City marathon and lets you see the watch’s automatic movement, the calibre NN20/1, made with Kenissi. This robust calibre ticks at 28,800vph and has a comfortable 70-hour power reserve. Its precision is certified by the COSC.
The Wild One TCS New York City Marathon is released in a 262-piece limited edition in reference to the 26.2 miles to be raced. It is presented either on a black or a white rubber strap. The price is set at CHF 5,150.
